Abstract: In this project, education level’s relationship with Trump vote support was measured. The objective of the research done was to find whether or not an increase in education level resulted in lower vote support for Donald Trump. The American National Election survey was the data used for research. In this project, the variables vote support for Trump or Harris, respondent self identified race, and education level were studied. In this study, univariate, bivariate, and multivariate logistic regressions were run to test the relationship between these variables. Race was controlled to see if education level increase could still hold as a significant factor in decrease in vote support for Trump. From the various tests done, it was found that there is a significant relationship between education level and Trump support with race controlled. Particularly, it was found that an increase in education level coincided with decrease in support for Donald Trump. With race controlled, the relationship between education level and vote support for Trump was only significant for White identifying and Black identifying respondents. Results showed that for these race categories, every unit increase in education level coincided with lower vote percentage for Trump.
