Abstract: Family is one of the most important social institutions shaping individual development. Experiences during adolescence can have lasting effects on well-being, as this period is critical for emotional, social, and psychological growth. During adolescence, individuals begin to form their identities and develop coping mechanisms that can influence outcomes later in life. As a result, the family environment during this stage may play a significant role in shaping adult happiness. Family structure is often used as a key indicator of the family environment. Individuals raised in two-parent households may experience greater stability, access to resources, and emotional support than those raised in other family arrangements. However, family structure alone does not fully capture the complexity of family life.
